Yaskawa Electric America Inc., Waukegan, Ill., has recently expanded its US-based operations. Earlier this year, Yaskawa moved into a new facility near Milwaukee, Wis., including office and manufacturing space accounting for 107,000 square ft. Recently, it added more space for a total of 140,000 square ft of office and manufacturing space.

The original relocation, from New Berlin, Wis., to Oak Creek, a suburb of Milwaukee, Wis., was needed because growth in the North and South American markets required additional space for manufacturing. The Oak Creek facility houses manufacturing, development, building automation and marketing. Modern work spaces are provided including a dynamometer room and a development lab.
